Textile manufacturing

The Celts used sheep's wool, linen and hemp as materials for textile production. These were spun and woven into the finest cloth.

The hand spindle, which had been known since the Neolithic Age (around 3,000 BC), was used for spinning. Together with the spinning of wool or linen, weaving on the weight loom developed. These two techniques were preserved until the late Middle Ages.

If you bring enough patience, you can practise spinning wool 😉
