The Celts already practiced intensive agriculture and livestock breeding. Most of today's cereal varieties were known, spelt, barley, emmer, einkorn, millet and early wheat varieties. These were not only cooked into cereal porridges, but the grains were also ground in small hand mills and baked into bread.

However, the grinding of the grain was very laborious. Try it once at our events at one of our stone hand mills!

And what other ingredients the favorite dishes and drinks of the Celts contained, we will gladly inform you. Perhaps one or the other bite or sip can also be tasted.
